Installing third-party software without permission is a big no-no. The installer did not even warn me beforehand that it was going to do that, and gave me no way to stop those installations either. It appears that BSD Concept's installer for Heredis does not only install Heredis, but Apple's Bonjour and Adobe's Reader as well, without asking permission. However, I wasn't amused by the two easy-to-miss brief messages near the end of the installation about installing Bonjour and Adobe Reader. The installer is just shy of 256 MB large, and installation was pleasantly uneventful. They probably just don't want to support that officially any more.
